Experience
I have worked as a tutor since high school, where I started as a reading and math tutor. Although I initially worked with students who were between four and nineteen, I now have experience working with upper level students. Currently, I tutor anthropology, comparative literature, English, ethnic studies, geography, sociology, and writing.I am an attentive, patient, and personable person, which make me a great tutor. I understand that each student has a different style of learning, and I am capable of adjusting my methods to meet their needs. I make my students comfortable in working with me because I let them know that I have been in their shoes, and that I worked with tutors in the past. I also let my students know that tutoring is about having an extra person to review their material with in order to further their progress.Soon I will graduate with a degree in Geography and a minor in Anthropology from the University of Oregon. In addition, I am studying for the LSAT and planning to attend law school. In my free time, I love to read, watch movies, traveling, and to be outdoors. Some of favorite outdoor activities are biking, hiking, skiing, and running.
